In 2015 PayByCar began the development of a “One Wallet” universal payment solution for drivers.

In 2017 PayByCar approached the multi-state E-ZPass IAG coalition about leveraging our “One Wallet” solution for non-toll transactions for millions of E-ZPass member vehicles, resulting in a pilot program known as “Driven by E-ZPassSM”. A pilot agreement is unanimously approved by all toll agencies and signed at year-end.

In 2019 PayByCar began to pilot our “One Wallet” payment solution with the E-ZPass drivers at four Alltown Mobil gas stations in Massachusetts, owned by our first retail partner Global Partners.

In 2021, during the height of the pandemic, PayByCar expands its footprint from 4 to 27 Alltown Mobile stations in Massachusetts.

In 2023 PayByCar refined the One Wallet universal payment solution to include off-street paid Parking.

In 2024 PayByCar begins parking pilots at parking facilities in New York, Maryland and Georgia, and working with the toll agencies across 20 states begins a multi-state enrollment campaign to bring “Driven by E-ZPass” to the attention of drivers of the 59 million vehicles with E-ZPass tags

In 2025 PayByCar continues its growth with its Driven by E-ZPass membership, adding additional retail partners and locations, and business experience including the implementation of a new shared loyalty rewards program.
